I hope folks read this. I gave AOC a good review over two years ago, and I'm here to do it again. I had a problem with my 05 SUV that went "dead" on me. I called AAA, had em tow me to Olive Auto Center since I had been coming there for awhile anyway. It was a Saturday, and Ali (the owner) was literally getting into his car to go home and had already completely closed up shop. He saw me getting out of the tow truck, recognized me, shook my hand, RE-OPENED the closed gates to his shop, put the car in neutral (because it wouldn't start) and PUSHED the thing into his shop to be repaired the next business day! Then offered me a RIDE HOME!!!! On top of this miraculous help (I mean seriously, WHERE do you find help like that anymore in customer service ANYWHERE?! Anyone else would have said, "Sorry, we're closed".), they could have easily scammed me and said I needed a whole new fuel pump (a common cause for the symptoms of my vehicle - in fact the AAA guy said he figured that's what it was) but instead were honest that it was a simple fuse that blew. At extremely low cost, my car was back and runs like a champ now. For anyone below who said they got "scammed" on money, I whole-heartedly do NOT believe you were scammed. I think whatever they quoted you was just the truth. I have gotten quotes elsewhere for things from other mechanics (including the mechanics at the actual dealer) and OAC is ALWAYS the lowest price offered. They also look for the most inexpensive alternatives if it's applicable. On certain rare occasions, some instances are just more expensive to fix, whether because of the part that is needed or because it's labor-intensive, and unfortunately you gotta pay it. It's like going to the doctor - even the most honest one you've known forever; most times you're going to pay your co-pay, get some cold medicines and be on your way for a low price. But that one time you whack your head and need a full on CAT-Scan, it's going to use a sophisticated machine and more intricate work done. It's gonna cost more and that's it. But to say OAC tries to scam anyone is ridiculous. I've never been to a more honest place of business. They also ALWAYS call me after I get my car serviced and ask what i thought of the service and if anything could have been done better. Who does that if they're trying to scam you? Doesn't make sense. And if you feel like any employee is trying to scam you, just say, "May I speak with Ali?" He'll tell you the truth 100%. Take your car here. Ali is a great mechanic, and a hell of a human being. -MATT from BURBANK

My car was making some weird noise when I went to start it, so I brought it into Ali he explained to me that it was because I hadn't come in for an oil cahnge in ages, woops. Sorry, a girls gotta shop. He could have taken advantage of me because let me be honest, I have no idea about cars. So anyways he performed the oil change, I was out of their in record time and when I got my car back they left me a thankyou card and a piece of chocolate, I mean WHO DOES THAT, so precious, I will totally be back.

This is the second time I've taken my car for a tune-up and they say it doesn't need it. They have saved me so much money. I'm always happy with their service.

The team at Ali's was incredibly courteous, friendly, honest and knowledgeable. They went above and beyond to get my car fixed, helped secure a rental and gave me timely information regarding the status of the work and options. In a city where you are never quite sure who to trust, I would trust Ali & his team to take care of my needs in the most forthright and professional manner possible.

I've gone to Ali's shop for the last several years and he and his team have always performed very good services. I've tried other shops and Olive Auto has always ranked high.

My brakes were squeaking incredibly loud for two weeks so I brought my car in to get my brakes checked. Instead of trying to sell me new brakes they told me mine were good for another 10k-15k miles and not worry about the squeaking (which they fixed). It was a quick inspection and only cost $45. Several members of my family have gone here and it's always been a good experience. Definitely not an establishment that you have to worry about getting ripped off at.
